Victorian Bathrooms embarks on ISO 9001
Victorian Bathrooms have began the process of gaining the Quality Accreditation certificate of ISO 9001.
Managing Director, Martin Chalcraft says “ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organisation supplies. It prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met.”
Martin goes onto say “We hope to achieve many goals whilst implementing the ISO Quality Management System, it will motivate staff by defining their key roles and responsibilities. We also hope to make clear cost savings through improved efficiency and productivity. We have already undertaken consultancy from a business manager that is directing us through the process, gaps have been indicated and already filled, whilst others are being analysed every day.”
“From this, improvements are being developed, giving customers a more efficient service, hopefully all our customers will notice that orders, deliveries and new product designs are met consistently.”
Victorian Bathrooms hope to complete the Quality Management System by December 2009. Stage one assessment is complete which leads Victorian Bathrooms to stage 2 and finally the audit in December.
